|Southland's official Poultry & Pigeon Club||
Welcome to the new IPPC website!
The Invercargill Poultry & Pigeon Club, founded in 1911 is an organization existing to protect the interests of all pure and traditional breeds of poultry including chickens, bantams, ducks, geese and pigeons.
Today the club has a strong following, with the resurgence in interest in backyard poultry keeping and all things self-sufficient. This allows the IPPC to remain one of the strongest clubs in the South Island. Breeders refer to the New Zealand Poultry Standards when selecting future stock.
If you have a question about keeping poultry or pigeons feel free to submit a question. If you are interested in joining the club, you can email the Secretary via the Contacts page. To find out more about breeds or a breeder please feel free to join the club under Membership. There are a number of shows this year listed under Club Events.
We have meetings on the 3rd Thursday of each month starting at 7.30 pm. The meetings are held at the Club rooms, Turnball Thomson Park, Lower Mary Street, Invercargill. .
